Introduction

The availability of competent and professional veterinary is a decesive factor for any effective national and international animal health programs. The role of veterinarians become of primary importance for successful application of strategies, measures, and methods to promote, protect, and restore the health of animal population and to protect human population health. The responsibility and work load of veterinarians become very complex and multi aspect, which make the participation of private sector in strengthening animal health services is the necessity today. In addition, the current global health situation becoming worsen particularly by appearance of the emerging and re-emerging zoonotic disease. Therefore, there is a need of initiative from a certain community group who care, willing to participate proactively, and want to contribute their ability in veterinary field to ensure the improvement of health and well-being of the public through animal health.

Vision

Become a reliable, leading, and independent organization with high commitments and concerns to accomplish the health and welfare of human being through the improvement of animal health, animal welfare and food safety of animal origin.

Mission
  1. To provide alternative data and information database in livestock, animal health, animal welfare, and food safety.
  2. To enhance community awareness and participation on safety and inpection of food of animal origin (food watchers).
  3. To develop better understanding in animal welfare issues in Indonesia.
  4. To support and assist in the development and implementation of the national animal health system.
  5. To improve the role and capacity of the community to support early warning system in animal health and veterinary public health.
  6. To empower the livestock community through the use and development of local based resources.
  7. To advocate the process of pro-poor desicion making policy in livestock and animal health sector.
