Depok Builds a Special Slaughter Facility for Poultry

Government of Depok Municipality will build a Special Slaughter Facility for poultry to anticipate the spread of bird flu in that area. This facility will also function to safeguard and monitor all poultry sold.

“This poultry slaughter facility will also function as a center for poultry carcass certification before marketed. If there are vendors selling poultry without certificates, we will immediately take action,” said Head of the Agriculture Office of Depok Municipality, Rumanul Hidayah. Rumanul also said the Agriculture Office will monitor poultry traffic in areas directly bordering Depok such as Tangerang and Bogor. Besides that they will also inspect poultry in large traditional markets in Depok.
