Agriculture Service Office of Depok City Will Vaccinate 10,000 Animals
DEPOK – The Agriculture Service Office of Depok city will vaccinate 10,000 animals such as dogs, cats, and monkeys in Depok city to prevent rabies. According to Secretary of the Agriculture Service Office, Widiati Riyandani, vaccination will be conducted in six subdistricts in Depok city starting from June 15 until July 6, 2009. The office will deploy 22 officers, divided into 5 teams, to conduct vaccination.
When the team is at work, the office asks owners to be cooperative and not hide their animals. Even so Widiati Riyandani said that in the last five years, no rabies case has been found in Depok city. (sazili m)
